Bergdorf Riesner
In some Alpine valleys, villages shrink, while in others, they are newly built. The latter is the case at Riesneralm in Donnersbachwald.

The professional hosts, the Landschützer family from Salzburg, have created a graceful settlement with a dozen cozy chalets – proving that one can make oneself comfortable even at high altitudes.
The houses, named after plants from the mountain botanical book – like Sonnenröschen and Engelwurz – radiate coziness. This is certainly also due to the many hacked planks from Sankt Marein, which the carpenters used: Großglockner hacked and Piz Palü hacked in the living rooms, and Piz Bernina hacked on the exterior.
