Boutiquehotel Am Essigmanngut

Located in Anif, just a stone's throw from the festival city of Salzburg in the green south, the family-run three-star boutique hotel Essigmanngut stands as another piece of built hospitality and comfort, designed by Karl Gruber and his Waldviertel-based office 4juu Architekten. Once again, the long-standing business partner and friend of our workshop has allowed the valuable and functional material wood to play a role that is not only structurally supportive.

Inside, Gran Paradiso from our panel family provides the kitsch-free yet cozy comfort that the builders and hosts at Essigmanngut had envisioned.

An impression of the interior is already conveyed by the building envelope, which Karl Gruber had executed in Gran Paradiso: Thermally treated spruce at 212°, with smooth edges in varying widths and smoothly planed. For the surface treatment – a dark brown stain – the wonderful master carpenter and timber construction technician Christian Groismaier, who was entrusted with the phenomenal one-man-show implementation, took care of it.

“Our company philosophy is to listen, observe the surroundings, and individually develop each client’s dream home. This has also been achieved at the Hotel Am Essigmanngut with wood from Mareiner.”
