After years of success with our high-quality wood products—wall claddings, flooring, and other applications in over 15 countries—we recently faced difficult challenges and had to file for insolvency. But now, we are looking ahead once again. With Minka’s support, we can continue our tradition and passion for wood—and even take it to a whole new level

Our new partner, Minka, brings immense strength to the table—like an ancient tree firmly rooted in the market. As a leading provider of attic stairs and system staircases, they have decades of experience and a global network. Based in Mürztal—just 1.5 km from Mareiner—Minka works with distribution partners in 45 countries, making them a major player both regionally and internationally. For over 70 years, they have stood for durable and well-thought-out solutions that impress both visually and functionally.

But Minka is more than just stairs. Their expertise in metal processing, powder coating, and manufacturing makes them a versatile partner—and now, they are bringing these strengths into our collaboration. A company with a solid foundation—like a staircase that leads steadily upward.

Back to the roots

Even though we are now part of Minka Holz- und Metallverarbeitungs GmbH, one thing remains unchanged: the Mareiner brand lives on. Our name has always stood for quality, innovation, and a deep passion for wood—and that won’t change in the future.

After the challenges of the past months, it’s time for us to go ‘back to the roots.’ We will not be continuing operations at the Schlierbach and Považská Bystrica sites. Instead, we are fully focusing on our production in St. Marein im Mürztal and the Mareiner Holzmarkt. Here, everything continues as usual, with our core team working hand in hand with Minka to write the next chapter of our story. For our customers and partners, this means: ‘Business as usual’ with the same trusted Mareiner contact.

But not everything will stay the same—because we wouldn’t be Mareiner if we weren’t already thinking about tomorrow.
