Together with two like-minded partners, architect and designer Stefan Schweighofer established Hof 437, a ‘network for form and space’ in the quiet town of Markt Alberschwende in the Bregenzerwald. Thanks to his remarkable skills, he secured a commission for an exceptionally unique timber construction.
This superb private home is a living testament to the near-infinite versatility and adaptability of a single building material. In this case, the Mareiner Piz Buin panel made from steamed larch, which we delivered to the construction site in the ‘Ländle’ with a consistent surface design but in a variety of planed and milled finishes.

360° Living Space Design
The inspiration for this approach stems from a simple yet fundamental realization: the master carpenter executing the project doesn’t just need boards—he needs product-based solutions.
As part of the delivery package, we provide identically crafted surface slats, which are also used for furniture fronts and doors. This results in a cohesive design where interior walls, ceilings, the entire sauna, as well as furniture and doors, are all made from the same material—yet each surface is uniquely adapted to maintain its own distinct character.
