Project Address: Vorarlberg, Austria

Among the creators of these dream destinations is the young architect and designer Stefan Schweighofer, who, together with two like-minded individuals, founded a ‘network for form and space’ called Hof 437. Not in the refined city of Bregenz, not in the bustling Dornbirn or Bludenz, but in the quiet market town of Alberschwende in the Bregenzerwald.
The way Schweighofer works with space and wood is demonstrated by the Private House Vorarlberg. It is likely that this house will soon be included in the canon of modern Vorarlberg architecture. Mareiner wood is a key element in this project, realized with Alpina Haus. Brushed Austrian larch runs through the living and dining areas, the bedrooms and bathrooms, all the way to the wellness area: sometimes as wall panels, sometimes as design plates, always under the signature of Piz Buin.
That Schweighofer and the property owner chose our Chiemsee planks for the terrace is even more fitting given the dimensions of both the terrace and the ‘Bavarian Sea.’
